Tecon Suape receives its largest ship

Tecon Suape made history in July, handling the MSC Orion, the largest vessel to dock at the Port of Suape.

With a capacity of 15,000 TEUs, the 366-meter-long new Panamax ship surpassed the previous record set by the APL Dublin last year. The APL Dublin measured 347 meters in length and carried a max capacity of 10,700 TEUs.

The arrival of the MSC Orion highlights the importance of Suape for Brazil as the Port of Suape can contribute to the viability of direct routes between the countries in the Northeast and Asia through the Panama Canal. These routes will connect Suape to important port hubs in China and Singapore, benefiting exporters and importers in both continents.
