ICTSI's inaugural sustainability Champions

Following the launch of International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) Edify Awards, the ICTSI Group named its inaugural sustainability champion terminals: Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) and Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT).
 
Cited for its digitalization efforts including operating system upgrades and improvements to online payment, vehicle booking and truck driver registration systems – all of which further improved the terminal’s delivery of services -- the MICT took the award for Best Governance Initiative.
 
CGSA bagged the award for Best Environmental initiative for being certified as the first carbon neutral in Latin America. Achieved in 2018, the milestone affirms CGSA’s commitment to preserving the environment and reducing the environmental impact of its operations.
 
Pakistan International Container Terminal received the award for Best Social Initiative in recognition of the terminal’s robust employee and community welfare programs. 
 
Launched in July 2022, the ICTSI Edify Awards recognizes sustainability champions across the ICTSI Group for their outstanding contribution to the Group’s environment, society, governance and sustainability initiatives.
