Tecon Suape donates school bags to Ipojuca students

Tecon Suape, in coordination with the Ipojuca Department of Education, donated 260 school bags to students of the Elisa Emília School in the neighborhood of São Miguel–one of the socially vulnerable areas in the Ipojuca municipality.

The donation will benefit the school’s Early Childhood Education students, aged four to 10 years old, as face-to-faces classes are set to resume in April.  Physical classes across the whole municipality have been suspended since June last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The donations were turned over to Francisco Amorim, Ipojuca Secretary of Education.

“For us, this act means two things:  partnership and education with social equity.  Tecon has been a partner for some years, and for sure will continue to be.  We chose the Elisa Emília School, among others in the municipality, because it is located in a socially vulnerable area, has very good educational indicators, and has the equivalent amount of scholarships donated with the number students,” said Mr. Amorim.

Tecon Suape will continue to support its partner communities as part of its commitment to stakeholders.
