“PICT has been continually delivering resilient terminal operations through innovation and close collaboration with the business community.  We align our corporate strategies with the positive interest of our partner communities and sustainable economic growth,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT Chief Executive Officer and the summit’s keynote speaker.

In his speech, Mr. Khan highlighted the role and contributions of PICT to Pakistan’s industrial economy, with PICT being the only publicly listed container terminal operator in the country.

Mr. Khan also talked about the strategic CPEC framework and its importance to the associated industries and communities, stressing the importance of key measures and government support which can help improve the terminal industry’s performance and efficacy.

Mr. Khan also emphasized the importance of synchronization among all stakeholders including Pakistan Customs, transporters, trade associations, and federation-level authorities, saying that the proactive collaboration among trade stakeholders will help Pakistan position itself as a major transit point in the global market and eventually provide a much-needed foundational boost to the country’s economic growth.
