PICT empowers deserving children

Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) constantly takes initiatives to empower deserving community members as part of efforts to uplift society. Recently, employees from cross-functional departments spent time with children from marginalized communities within the port’s vicinity. 

Looking to broaden the spectrum of fun-filled learning, PICT employee volunteers, in coordination with a welfare organization, accompanied the children to the local zoo to learn about different animal species, their behaviors and habitats. The tour served as a fresh and fun way for the children to learn.

“We at PICT inculcate a culture that gives back to society and instill societal ownership among our employees. We seek to empower challenged members of neighboring communities through our regular CSR programs. This educational tour serves as part of these initiatives that aim to widen the horizon and exposure of deserving children,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT chief executive officer.
