ICTSI Foundation aids Isla Puting Bato fire survivors
The ICTSI Foundation (IF) swiftly responded to basic needs of affected families during the recent fire outbreak in the Isla Puting Bato community in Tondo, Manila. Recognizing the need for timely support, IF promptly mobilized resources and volunteers to deliver 25-kg sacks of rice, blankets, sleeping mats, and meals for each of the 2,000 displaced families. Authorities estimate that at least 1,000 homes and 8,000 individuals were affected by the fire that broke out on 24 November 2024.
Volunteers from the Manila International Container Terminal's Anchorage Division and Parola EcoPatrols assisted the Foundation in delivering aid to the affected residents. Security personnel from RVV Security Systems and Seraph Security Agency likewise provided assistance in crowd control, ensuring the orderly distribution of aid.
The relief operation underscores the ICTSI Foundation's commitment to deliver assistance to its host communities in times of disasters.
