ICTSI EMEA Head visits Karachi Port Trust

Hans-Ole Madsen, ICTSI Senior Vice President and Regional Head for Europe, Middle East and Africa, recently paid a courtesy call to Rear Admiral Jamil Akhtar, Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Chairman.  

Accompanied by Khurram Aziz Khan, Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Madsen spoke to Admiral Akhtar about the strong bilateral relations between KPT and PICT, as well as the Company’s contributions to the Port of Karachi, driven by value-added services.  The two leaders also exchanged ideas on how to further strengthen the role of the port industry in uplifting the country’s economy.  

Admiral Akhtar recognized ICTSI’s contributions to the Port of Karachi, affirming the port’s long-term relations and support for ICTSI towards emerging opportunities in Pakistan.  Mr. Madsen expressed his gratitude for the dialogue and reaffirmed ICTSI’s commitment to further contribute to the Port of Karachi’s development by making it a source of diligent and sustainable growth for the country.
