ICTSI adopts Manila through NRC’s Adopt-a-City program

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), through the ICTSI Foundation, has signed a memorandum of agreement supporting the implementation of the National Resilience Council’s (NRC) Leadership for Resilient Local Government Unit Program for the City of Manila.

The Company donated PhP8 million to the program, which aims to enable local government units–in this case, the City of Manila–to prevent, prepare for, and quickly recover from disasters and calamities.

The Leadership for Resilient Local Government Unit Program is under the NRC’s Adopt-a-City initiative, a private sector program that aims to collectively strengthen the dynamic collaboration between the public and private sectors towards advancing science-based solutions to the challenges of disaster resiliency.  The NRC hopes to achieve this objective by engaging the government, private sector, scientific organizations, and the academic community.
