Contecon Manzanillo ranks in Expansión’s Responsible Companies list

Contecon Manzanillo S.A. (CMSA) has become the first Mexican port operator to be named in the Responsible Companies list by Expansión, the flagship publication of Grupo Expansión. The annual list, which has been carried out since 2014, aims to recognize companies with the best Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.

The recognition underscores CMSA’s commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, social responsibility and good governance. CMSA entered the list at the 135^th place overall, ranking 89^th in Environmental, 145^th in Social, and 138^th in Governance.

“We entered in the 135^th position, but what is more relevant is we are ranked 89^th in environmental. Our effort and strategy are reflected in our image, both internally and externally, thus consolidating the path we began two years ago,” said José Antonio Contreras, CMSA chief executive officer.
