CGSA rolls out LTE network

Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) is the first terminal in Ecuador to implement a private LTE (Long Term Evolution) network, a milestone that reflects the company’s commitment to the modernization of the country’s main and largest port.

The LTE network is a reliable, secure and high-tech connectivity solution that will bring strategic and operational benefits to the terminal and its value chain, including increased efficiency and connectivity, process automation, optimal security with advanced monitoring and surveillance systems, innovation and a better customer experience.

The implementation of this technology was completed last August and involved an investment of nearly USD1 million. It positions CGSA as a benchmark Smart Port 4.0 in the industry, setting new standards of operational excellence and promoting the country’s sustainable economic growth.

The investment in LTE technology reinforces CGSA’s commitment to efficiency and safety, promoting the development of foreign trade. With its portfolio of Contecon Plus services, the company is positioned as the only benchmark terminal in comprehensive logistics, providing everything from warehousing and distribution to specialized services, all in one place.

Operating for 16 years at the Port of Guayaquil, CGSA has developed a world-class terminal with the best infrastructure, technology and equipment.
