CGSA recognized for logistics innovation

Contecon Guayaquil S.A. (CGSA) stood out at the inaugural Expo de Logística y Supply Chain Ecuador 2025, earning two awards for projects that reaffirm the company’s industry leadership and commitment to operational excellence.

The first project recognized was the Master Plan, which streamlined the traffic flow inside the terminal. The project reduced external truck turnaround time by 40 percent and decreased the distance driven by internal trucks by 46 percent. The project was commended for its positive impact on truck drivers and improved terminal efficiency and productivity resulting fromoptimized movement of terminal equipment.

The Guayaquil Banna Gateway cold storage facility also earned recognition for enhancing the quality and preservation of Ecuador’s bananas—Ecuador’s flagship export commodity. This groundbreaking logistics facility enhances the terminal’s cold chain system, supporting the delivery of fresher, higher-quality products to global markets and strengthening the competitiveness of Ecuador’s foreign trade.

Supported by the Logistics Association of Ecuador and several government ministries, the Expo de Logística y Supply Chain Ecuador has become the main platform for logistics professionals and innovators in the country. The inaugural event gathered more than 350 exhibitors and 1,200 attendees.
