Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) has partnered with the Center of New Competencies to provide technical school graduates with specialized training courses designed for servicemen operating heavy terminal equipment.
BCT believes that training new graduates will make it easier for employers to recruit young and skilled workers who are well-prepared for the type of work in the industry.
A total of 20 students have been initially selected to undergo training on the latest technologies with the help of virtual reality simulations. The course, which commenced in October, is based on BCT’s original training program.
BCT hopes that the initiative, which involves cooperation with technical schools of Pomerania Voivodeship, will bridge the skill and knowledge gaps among vocational school students.
