VICT marks International Day for Women in Maritime

Women of VICT

Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) celebrated International Day for Women in Maritime by recognizing the contributions of women across all areas of its operations.

Women at VICT hold roles in stevedoring, equipment control, crane operations, IT, finance, commercial, human resources, HSEQ, and executive management. Their work supports the daily functions of the terminal and contributes to developments across the broader supply chain and maritime sector.

VICT maintains a commitment to creating pathways for women in the industry, continuing to support initiatives that provide access to career development, training and advancement. This commitment includes VICT’s ongoing involvement with Wayfinder: Supply Chain Careers for Women, an initiative of the Australian Logistics Council. Wayfinder promotes women’s participation in freight, logistics, and transport through education, mentoring, and industry engagement.

VICT proudly supports the work being done to promote gender inclusion, reaffirming its role in supporting these efforts within the Port of Melbourne and the wider maritime industry.
