SPICT hands over new classroom to Labu Miti Village
ICTSI South Pacific’s South Pacific International Container Terminal (SPICT) has officially turned over two newly built classrooms along with an administrative office to the Labu Miti Village.
The village, situated across the Lae Tidal Basin, has long struggled with inadequate school facilities, which limited access to quality education. To help address the problem, SPICT provided the building materials for the classrooms, while the Labu community undertook construction.
The project underscores ICTSI South Pacific’s commitment to education, sustainability and community development, while highlighting the power of collaboration in community-driven initiatives.
