Secretary for economic development visits CMSA

Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) Chief Executive Officer José Antonio Contreras recently met with Colima Secretary for Economic Development Franciso Rodríguez Garciá to discuss the importance of the Port of Manzanillo in the global economy and promoting the necessary infrastructure works that would further expedite the delivery of cargo to Mexico’s main distribution centers.

CMSA Commercial Director Mikkel Puyat supplemented the discussion and delivered a presentation about the ICTSI Group’s global presence, history and investments in Manzanillo. He also briefed the secretary about Contecon’s expansion plan and emphasized the importance of promoting the port locally and globally.

Finally, Francisco Santana shared some of the company’s recent social responsibility milestones including becoming the first carbon neutral port in the country, establishing the excellence scholarship program for elementary school children, and organizing the fifth installment of Carrera Contecon race for a cause.
