SBITC welcomes Wan Hai’s consolidated service

Subic Bay International Terminals recently serviced the first call of Wan Hai Line’s consolidated Mindanao – Hong Kong – Taiwan (MHT) service.

The MHT service now operates a new route that covers Subic – Batangas – Cebu – Davao – Shekou – Hong Kong – Subic, excluding Kaohsiung and focusing instead on outports. It previously covered Cebu – Cagayan – Davao – Hong Kong – Kaohsiung – Cebu, while the previous Subic Express Service (SES), which has been integrated into the new MHT service, covered Taichung – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Shekou – Subic – Batangas – Manila South – Cebu.

Wan Hai consolidated the MHT and SES services to optimize its offering in the Intra-Asia network, utilizing larger-capacity ships to meet the increased demand during the holiday season.

With Subic as its first port of call in the Philippines, the MHT service is ideal for transporting increased orders for imported products and raw materials. Subic also serves as the ideal take-off point for the service’s next destinations in the country. As imports arrive directly in Subic, supplies and cargo can be delivered faster to the next destinations.
