Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) recently met with representatives from the Inter-Regional Customs Network, the UNODC-WCO’s Container Control Program, and customs officials from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to discuss the terminals’ facilities and protocols for the secure handling of transit cargo.

PICT’s partners and stakeholders expressed interest in international container trade, rail transportation, and international road transport. With the goal of strengthening coordination and cooperation, PICT explained the benefits and convenience offered by the Pakistan Single Window and the bonded transit facilities inside the terminal.

“The synchronized cross-border initiatives of our stakeholders continue to be one of the essentials in enhancing trade facilitation in the region. At PICT, we make conscious efforts to maintain constant communication and collaboration with our clients and business partners in order to accelerate the trade processes in regional corporate connections, which act as catalysts for stronger business ties and mutual benefits among stakeholders,” explained Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT chief executive officer.
