Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) is committed to promoting inclusive programs that inspire young people to become future leaders who will contribute to building a sustainable society.
Proactive in its efforts to enhance the earth’s climate and the environment, PICT launched the Climate Champion Contest last December. Children of PICT employees were invited to participate in the drawing competition that centered around the theme “Our actions matter | Step up for Earth and Climate.” The contest served as platform for the young individuals to showcase their ideas and artwork.
PICT also shared a video among employees that explained the earth’s climate, how it is affected by human activity, and the measures that need to be taken to address climate change.
“Through this fun-filled program, we aim to empower and encourage children to act responsibly and take part in activities that reduce the negative impact of human activity on the planet. The goal was to create awareness among employees and their children and motivate the younger generation to actively contribute to improving the environment,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT chief executive officer.
