PICT hosts terminal visits for academic institutes

More than 200 students from multi-functional disciplines joined terminal visits organized by Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) to provide students with valuable professional insights on the ports, terminal and shipping industries.

The terminal visits allowed students to better understand the skills and competencies required in certain career domains at the port, adding to their exposure to and practical understanding of container terminals. The visits are also specifically designed to provide a platform for interaction with industry professionals from different departments at the terminal.

“PICT firmly advocates youth development as a way towards sustainable societies. With our initiatives inclined towards the academic community, we look forward to strengthening the business acumen and personality development of our younger generation and enabling them to shine as future talents of the nation,” said Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT Chief Executive Officer.

PICT continues to foster professional development of young graduates as part of its broader vision to contribute towards a better enabled society. The recent collaboration with several academic institutes to host terminal visits is another step towards developing partnerships with the academia and the industry for social upliftment.
