PICT, BGT host annual meet-up for clients

Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) and Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) teamed up recently to organize a golf tournament for clients at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club in Dubai for this year’s annual customer meet-up.

The event provided clients a light-hearted and relaxing opportunity to mingle outside the usual business setting while PICT and BGT aimed to further strengthen commercial ties with stakeholders.  The tournament also marked the return to business-as-usual after pandemic restrictions halted client interactions and gatherings for almost two years.

“ICTSI believes in achieving commercial success through synergized partnerships.  The golf tournament was intended to bring together all our business partners and strengthen our collaboration with them to improve maritime trade in the region,” said Hans-Ole Madsen, ICTSI senior vice president and EMEA regional head.

“Over the years, PICT’s efforts have evolved into sustainable partnerships across the business community for delivering a resilient value chain.  Through activities like this with our corporate partners, we look forward to nurturing healthy ties with all our stakeholders – this being a key to enhancing customer experience and becoming the most reliable international trade gateway at the Port of Karachi.  It was a pleasure partnering with BGT to host a successful event and we look forward to having such events again in the future,” added Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT chief executive officer.

Romeo Salvador, BGT chief executive officer, concluded:  “With Covid restrictions finally being lifted in Dubai and the rest of the world, this event with PICT was a great way to celebrate and thank BGT’s customers and partners for their continued support.”
