OPC named the best logistics company to work for in Honduras

For the second consecutive year, Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana (OPC) has been recognized as the most attractive employer in the logistics and distribution sector in Honduras.

The Most Attractive Companies to Work For (EMAT) is a perception survey that ranks the best companies to work for across different companies in the region. For more than 11 years, EMAT has been the survey that reveals how organizations are perceived within the workforce. The results presented are based on the perspective of the economically active population of each country.

The recognition is awarded by recruitment company Tecoloco, which considers the contribution of human capital within companies to be relevant. OPC was also recognized among the top companies in the General Ranking and in the Management Ranking, which covers all sectors.

The scope of the survey is not limited to the ranking, but also offers a detailed evaluation of different factors that establish companies as a recognized brand in the labor market. It also evaluates the perception of potential job candidates, current employees, or even former employees.

Since OPC started operations in Puerto Cortés, the company has made significant investments to develop its personnel at all levels. To date, OPC has invested close to USD1.3 million in more than 230,000 hours of training for more than 4,000 personnel. This shows the commitment and confidence of the company in Honduras and its people.

OPC commenced operations nine years ago, and the ranking already positions the company as the best in the industry. It also reflects OPC's significant contribution to Honduras' competitiveness , highlighting the quality of its operation as it leads by example and acts consistently in line with the goal of turning Central America into the logistics hub of the Americas.

The study was carried out across each of the Central American countries and evaluated in detail 15 factors that determine which brands are the most recognized in the market. The power of attraction was also measured through four factors – remuneration, benefits, growth opportunities and work environment.

For OPC, the success of the Puerto Cortés operation is connected to social progress. The company will continue to promote development and innovation within the production chain to generate benefits for clients , and the community.
