OMT celebrates world day for safety and health at work

Onne Multipurpose Terminal (OMT) joined the global observance of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, aligning with the 2025 international theme “Revolutionizing Health and Safety: The Role of AI and Digitalization at Work.”

The event opened with remarks from Managing Director Nicolò Scannavini, who outlined the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) objective for the year: Improve safety culture making 2025 the safest year in OMT history.” His message emphasized shared responsibility in maintaining a safe work environment.

Activities throughout the day included a safety awards ceremony, which recognized individuals and teams for contributions to workplace safety; a safety quiz session focused on knowledge reinforcement; and discussions on the Incident Fatal Five and the Risks of Drug and Alcohol Use in the Workplace.

The observance also served as a platform for employees to exchange views on the impact of AI and digital tools in addressing safety challenges in the workplace.

OMT’s commemoration of World Day for Safety and Health at Work reflects its ongoing effort to strengthen safety culture and integrate technology into its health and safety practices.
