Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) has acquired new state-of-the-art and eco-friendly equipment to boost its landside operations.

BCT took delivery of a new Kalmar DRG450 ECO Reachstacker in July. The sixth such unit of its kind in BCT’s fleet, the reachstacker is equipped with specialized lifting attachments and can stack containers up to five or six levels high. The equipment is also designed to lift up to 45-ton loads.

BCT also took delivery of six Terberg YT223-4x2 terminal tractors in May. These 36-ton capacity tractors not only improve the terminal’s efficiency, but also promote environment-friendly operations as they comply with the EURO 5 emission standard. A previous batch of five Terberg terminal tractors with new 70-ton trailers were delivered to BCT earlier in the year.

With this investment, BCT is well-positioned to handle increased volumes and deliver superior customer service.
