MMT hosts PFSAC assembly

The Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) security group, led by Port Facility Security Officer and Security Manager Raymund Fran, spearheaded the Port Facility Security Advisory Committee (PFSAC) meeting on 22 November 2024.

The PFSAC is composed of representatives from the Manila Police District Station 1, Philippine National Police Maritime Group, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Ports Authority, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of Fire, Gregory Investigation and Security Services Corporation, and Barangay 128 officials from the host community.

The committee addressed key challenges, including natural calamities, port congestion, and traffic conditions along the streets of the port area, particularly during the holiday season.

Under the guidance of Commanding Officer Police Lt. Col. Melvin Florida of Raxabago Station 1, the group agreed to closely coordinate with relevant agencies during emergencies, ensure communication channels remain updated, and swiftly report and respond to incidents.

Through the collaborative efforts of the joint committee, MMT continues to strengthen port security measures, safeguarding both business operations and the welfare of all stakeholders.
