MMT expands landside equipment fleet
Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) recently took delivery of eight new 16-ton forklifts, completing its acquisition of 13 new units.
The fleet expansion supports faster vessel and cargo turnaround, further improving the terminal’s operational efficiency for the benefit of port users.
“We strive to deliver the highest returns to our customers, partners and stakeholders. With these improvements and the fast-paced environment of the terminal, we are able to meet our clients’ expectations,” said Phillip Marsham, MMT executive director.
With a total area of 13.2 meters, MMT is the largest international bulk and breakbulk cargo handling facility at the Port of Manila. The terminal has an annual capacity of 10 million metric tons and works in synergy with NorthPort and Manila International Container Terminal to support international and domestic cargo operations at the Port of Manila.
