The Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) received multiple honors from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) in early 2025 for its contributions to trade facilitation and customs operations.

During International Customs Day last 27 January, MMT was among 25 recipients of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Certificate of Merit. The award, presented by BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, recognized MMT’s service and collaboration in advancing customs and trade initiatives.

On 11 February, MMT was also honored by the BOC Port of Manila (BOC-POM) during its Stakeholders’ Awards Ceremony, held as part of the BOC’s 123rd Founding Anniversary. The plaque of appreciation acknowledged MMT’s role in the Port of Manila Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (POM-CICAC).

Geraldine Santos, MMT commercial head, and Iran Servillon, MMT corporate communication manager, accepted the awards on behalf of the company.

MMT also took part in the BOC’s anniversary celebration at the Philippine International Convention Center on 7 February. Phillip Marsham, ICTSI Philippine sub-region executive director, attended the event, which highlighted BOC’s modernization efforts and commitment to efficiency and integrity.

These recognitions reflect MMT’s continued engagement in customs initiatives and its role in strengthening public-private sector collaboration to improve trade and logistics.
