MICT honors outstanding security personnel

Manila International Container Terminal’s (MICT) Security and Surveillance Department hosted the Huwarang Alagad ng Pantalan (model port personnel) event to honor outstanding security personnel who have demonstrated exemplary performance of duty and made outstanding contributions to the security and safety of the terminal.

Eighteen security personnel from RVVSSI and Seraph Security Agency, Inc. were cited, from January to July. The awardees include a security guard who was recognized by the HSE department for his timely response to a fire incident; security personnel who were key to recovering vital company assets targeted by land-grabbing groups; and security guards who helped apprehend violators of company security policies and individuals who attempted to bribe them. One of the awardees received the Service Loyalty recognition for his 33-year tenure as a security personnel at the MICT detachment.

The awardees received certificates of recognition and 10 kilograms of rice, in addition to automatically qualifying for the Bagani ng Pantalan (port hero) award, which will be given to the best-performing security personnel of the year.

The awarding ceremony not only highlighted the importance of security in the terminal’s daily operations, but also celebrated the individuals who embody the very essence of dedication and excellence. Their contributions serve as constant reminders that security goes beyond protection – it’s also about trust, dedication and commitment to the well-being of everyone.
