MICT holds sports fest

 

Manila International Container Terminal commenced its highly anticipated sports fest last June 30, bringing together employees from across departments to foster collaboration, teamwork and a sense of community among colleagues.

The opening ceremony kicked off with a parade showcasing employees in their team colors. The highlights included the torch lighting, a symbolic basketball toss, and the oath of sportsmanship — all underscoring themes of unity and fair play.

The crowd’s energy picked up during the ramp and talent segments, where teams introduced their muses and escorts, followed by a cheer battle that drew loud support from the audience.

The participating teams for this year’s sports fest are:

  • Red Fighting Beavers – Engineering, Engineering Shared Services, Civil Works
  • Orange Equipment Titans – Equipment Operations
  • Yellow Execution Tigers – Execution Operations, Operations Shared Services
  • Green Team Anchorage – Anchorage Department, Anchorage Union On-Call
  • Blue Team Naflu – NMPI Union, NMPI On-Call
  • Purple Team Ube – Management Services; Government Affairs, Sustainability & Development; Office of the COO; Admin Operations; Landside Operations; MICT Commercial & Documentation
  • Pink Thunderbolts – MICT Finance, Finance Shared Services, ITSS, ITSS Shared Services
  • Black Mighty Ravens – HSE; HR and HR Operations; Security; PH Surveillance

Alexandra Sophia Laquian from Purple Team Ube was named Ms. MICT 2025 Sportsfest. Karl Austin Carbonera from Pink Thunderbolts earned the title of Mr. MICT 2025 Sportsfest. The Thunderbolts also won the Best Team Cheer award.

The MICT Sportsfest continues through July.
