The Manila International Container Terminal Engineering Department has introduced a mobile equipment simulator (MES) to strengthen its maintenance capabilities and provide technicians with a controlled environment for skills development and training
Used for testing engines and transmissions, the simulator enables technicians to verify component performance prior to deployment. This helps reduce equipment downtime, prevent premature pull-outs and improve workshop efficiency. It also addresses challenges associated with installing untested parts, which can result in rework and extended maintenance activities.
