Manila Harbor Center (MHC), in coordination with the ICTSI Foundation, donated construction materials for the expansion of the Raxabago Police Station in Tondo, Manila.

The materials were turned over to Manila Police District Station Commander PLTCOL Cenon Vargas, Jr. on November 29, prompting the start of the expansion of the station’s custodial facility for inmates.

“We are grateful to the management and staff of MHC and the ICTSI Foundation for the generosity and unconditional support as we continue to protect and serve our citizens,” said PLTCOL Vargas.

Raymund Fran, MHC security manager, stressed the need to protect the health of inmates, especially in this time of pandemic, and added that providing them with a conducive environment is a big factor in their reformation.

Wholly owned by International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), MHC is the Philippines’ largest cargo handling operator of bulk, breakbulk and project cargo.
