Manila Harbor Center (MHC) continues to enhance its security capabilities by conducting a crime investigation training in coordination with the Manila Police District (MPD).

Spearheaded by Brigadier General Leo Francisco, MPD district director, the training centered on information gathering during preliminary investigations, legal concerns, crime scene preservation, witness and suspect interview procedures, evidence collection and handling, crime prevention and drafting of basic written report prior to the arrival of authorities at the crime scene. Understanding these procedures enables first responders to perform better and provide accurate information when reporting incidents.

MHC also conducted the Maritime Security workshop to increase employee awareness on security alert levels inside the facility.

The company is continuously improving security measures inside the terminal to safeguard employees, clients, port users, and docked vessels and their cargo.
