In loving memory of Jose Manuel M. De Jesus

It is with deep sadness that ICTSI grieves the loss of Jose Manuel M. De Jesus, Vice President for Regulatory Affairs, who passed away on June 22, 2023, in Manila. He was 58 years old.
 
DJ, as he was fondly known, began his journey with ICTSI in 1995 as executive assistant to the chairman. Throughout his tenure, he held various pivotal roles within the company, showcasing his exceptional skills and dedication. DJ's career included serving as the director for strategic planning of ICTSI’s regional development offices in Miami and Dubai, general manager of Thai Laemchabang Terminals, Inc., and director of business development for the Americas. In 2005, he took charge of the Asia Business Development Group, and in 2022, he was promoted to the position of vice president for regulatory affairs. Additionally, he served as chairman and president for ICTSI’s Philippine and Asia Pacific subsidiaries, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the company's success.
 
While DJ's professional accomplishments were commendable, it is his personal qualities that will truly be remembered. He was not just a colleague but a dear friend to many—a genuine gentleman whose guidance was valued by all who knew him. DJ was an industrious teammate, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer support. His unwavering belief in the ideals of ICTSI made him a staunch advocate for the Company's purpose and values.
 
As we bid farewell to DJ, we express our heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable contributions he made during his time with us. His memory will forever remain in our hearts as we continue to uphold the legacy he left behind.
