International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to support the upcoming United Nations Office of Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR). The conference will take place from 14-18 October 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The APMCDRR is expected to draw more than 2,000 delegates across the globe, representing governments, civil society organizations, the private sector, science and academe. Sessions will focus on disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) financing, advancements in science and technology, resource management, gender-responsive and inclusive governance, multistakeholder collaboration, and private sector engagement in line with localizing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.

Through this commitment, ICTSI recognizes the importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships in building a more resilient future against man-made and natural disasters.
