ICTSI launches leadership programs in LatAm
The ICTSI Global Academy has launched its Driving Performance and Train the Trainers leadership programs in Latin America, completing the first regional run of the two-week program at Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) in Mexico. These programs aim to strengthen frontline leadership by emphasizing team accountability, clarity, and operational effectiveness
Facilitated by Marge Cuadera and Pamela Jeanne San Jose, the sessions brought together supervisors and superintendents from five terminals: CMSA, Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana in Honduras, Contecon Guayaquil in Ecuador, Sociedad Puerto Industrial de Aguadulce in Colombia, and TecPlata in Argentina.
Participants have started rolling out Quick Win projects at their respective terminals to apply what they learned and promote a performance-driven culture on the ground. By the third quarter of 2025, all five terminals are expected to implement the Driving Performance program locally, expanding the reach of leadership development across operations.
This effort reflects ICTSI’s broader commitment to investing in its people. The facilitators noted that the program marks the start of a long-term initiative to build internal capabilities and foster leadership at the frontline.
The initiative was led by Robin Cruickshanks, ICTSI vice president, Global Corporate Human Resources, with input from consultant Eric Bubeer. Regional support was provided by Anders Kjeldsen, ICTSI senior vice president and regional head – Latin America; Jose Antonio Contreras, CMSA chief executive officer; Juan Carlos Salas, CMSA director and chief human resources officer; Marta Magaña, CMSA human resources leader; and Angel Franco, CMSA terminal operations manager.
