ICTSI honors top suppliers at 14th ISQA
The 14th ICTSI Supplier Quality Awards was held virtually last July 20 with the theme “Innovation: A Driver Towards Resiliency, Reliability and Sustainability.”
This year, top-performing suppliers includes Blusky Chemicals Trading for Category 1, Industrial Parts; R.E. Policarpio Hauling and Equipment Services for Category 2, Industrial Repairs; M.Y.M.C. for Category 3, Office and IT Materials; Universal Access & Systems Solutions, Inc. for Category 4, Office and IT Services; and Prime Metro BMD Corporation for Category 5, Construction.
In addition to recognizing top-performing suppliers, the program focused on Global Procurement’s latest initiative – Vendor-Managed Catalogues (VMCs), and on the Company’s sustainability journey.
SAP Philippines Inc. delivered a video presentation on VMCs and how suppliers can benefit from them. This year’s Special Awards were dedicated to the first five vendors who worked with ICTSI’s Global Procurement and IT teams during the pilot rollout of VMCs in 2021. The special awardees are Ecube Total Source Solutions, Portmizer Philippines Corp., ESP Commercial, Philippine Vending Corporation and National Book Store.
In her address, Mariel Zamora, Global Procurement Director, encouraged suppliers to continue working with ICTSI and build on gains achieved from the acceleration of digital transformation due to the pandemic.
Atty. Lirene Mora, Global Corporate Legal Affairs Director and Sustainability Project Manager, talked about ICTSI’s on-going and future sustainability initiatives and the future launch of the ICTSI Supplier Code of Conduct.
The event also served as an opportunity for the Company to introduce Damien Huppert. He thanked vendors for providing ICTSI much-needed support during the challenging past two years. He also encouraged them to adopt their own safety and sustainability targets based on the best practices cascaded by ICTSI.
Antonio Coronel, who was the Company’s former Global Procurement head and now Vice President for Logistics and Supply Chain, was recognized during the event. Christian R. Gonzalez, executive vice president, congratulated Mr. Coronel on his promotion and presented him with a plaque of appreciation for his exceptional leadership and contributions to Global Procurement’s transformation into a world-class unit and one of the Company’s most efficient assets.
