ICTSI Global Academy holds performance training at SPICT

Seventeen employees from various departments of South Pacific International Container Terminal (SPICT) in Lae, Papua New Guinea, completed the Driving Performance program, a comprehensive training course on the Fundamentals of Leadership and Terminal Operations.

Spearheaded by the ICTSI Global Academy, the program equipped participants with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effectively lead and contribute to terminal activities. The program emphasized the practical application of leadership skills in the workplace while promoting a deeper understanding of terminal operations at the supervisory level.

Lawrence Manuel, ICTSI Global Academy senior manager, and Alexander Laliag, MICT execution head, facilitated the training. Topics covered during the program included
health, safety, & environment; knowing Your Terminal; operating with a customer focus; measuring and managing terminal performance; reducing waste; leadership essentials; planning, organizing, and controlling; and leading functions.

An awarding ceremony was held at Hotel Morobe last June 21 led by George Gware, SPICT COO. The event was also attended by the SPICT management team.

This training initiative demonstrates ICTSI Global Academy's commitment to developing a strong leadership pipeline within the ICTSI Group and empowering employees with the skills to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
