ICTSI Foundation supports National Athletics Championship
The ICTSI Foundation partnered with the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA) to support the 2025 ICTSI Philippine Athletics Championships, held May 1–4 at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Tarlac. The meet brought together more than 900 athletes from the Philippines and abroad to compete in 23 track and field events.
Competitions included short- and long-distance running events (100 to 10,000 meters), as well as javelin, discus, hammer throw, shot put, high jump, pole vault, long jump, hurdles, and steeplechase.
Several members of the Philippine National Team—John Cabang Tolentino, Robyn Brown, Lauren Hoffman, and Kristina Knott—competed alongside athletes from ASEAN countries, Papua New Guinea, and India. The meet was also a qualifier for the upcoming Asian Youth Games in Bahrain and the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games later this year.
The meet featured strong grassroots participation, with collegiate teams, local clubs, and independent athletes competing in under-18 and open divisions.
The Philippines claimed the overall title in the Men’s Open division. Far Eastern University topped the Women’s Open category, CC Athletics led the Men’s Under-18, and Bohol Province Track and Field Team won the Women’s Under-18 division.
The initiative forms part of the ICTSI Foundation’s Youth Development Pillar, which supports Filipino athletes through training and competition opportunities at both the national and international levels.
