The ICTSI Foundation (IF) and Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) reinforced their commitment to promote children’s rights to education, play, health and overall well-being with this year’s Christmas outreach.
In line with the celebration of Universal Children’s Month, IF and MCT transformed Sugbongcogon covered court into an inflatable playground. Around 115 preschoolers delighted in playing on the inflatables, enjoyed a lively party, and received gift packages containing school supplies, food items, and toys. Food carts served popcorn, popsicles, and cotton candy while a photo booth was commissioned to capture the event’s happy moments.
Tagoloan Municipal Mayor Atty. Nadya Emano-Elipe attended the event and praised IF and MCT for bringing fun and festivities directly to the barangay, the first initiative of its kind in the community.
IF and MCT also turned over three refrigerators to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) - Tagoloan Satellite Office to support its Nutrition Support Program for daycare pupils.
Volunteers from MCT and ICTSI Foundation scholars from MisOr participated in the activity and demonstrated the importance of active engagement with the community.
