The ICTSI Foundation once again demonstrated its commitment to Bayanihan, the Filipino spirit of communal unity and cooperation in the wake of Typhoon Carina's devastation across Luzon. The Foundation recently led simultaneous relief efforts, reaching over 1,000 families in five Manila barangays, and 513 families across 27 barangays in Olongapo City.
In partnership with employee volunteers from the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT), the Foundation distributed essential supplies at the Delpan Evacuation Center near the Port of Manila. Each affected family received 25 kilos of rice, roast chicken with cooked rice, blankets, and sleeping mats.
Concurrently, the Foundation and Subic Bay International Terminals (SBITC) extended aid to families seeking refuge in 23 evacuation sites across Subic and Olongapo City. Each family also received 25 kilos of rice, a meal and drinking water. SBITC likewise extended assistance to employees impacted by the typhoon.
