GCPI delegates visit MICT

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) welcomed officials of the General Company for Ports in Iraq (GCPI) at the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) last September.
Accompanied by Romeo Salvador, Basra Gateway Terminal chief executive officer, and Ali Al-Freijy, Basra Gateway Terminal commercial manager, the GCPI delegation toured the MICT, Manila NorthPort and Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) – ICTSI’s operations in the Port of Manila. The GCPI delegates also met with Phillip Marsham, MICT executive director, and Christian R. Gonzalez, ICTSI executive vice president.
ICTSI also arranged a meeting between GCPI delegates and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) led by Catherine Esto, PPA Port Manager – National Capital Region South, and other PPA operations and security officers. The meeting highlighted the PPA’s best practices and cooperation details with the private sector for the management and operation of Philippine terminals.
