EJMT welcomes ALFI Jatim delegation

East Java Multipurpose Terminal (EJMT) had the pleasure of hosting a visit from officials of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) Jatim last 12 June.

The ALFI Jatim delegation, led by Chairman Sebastian Wibisono, was received by EJMT representatives located within the Lamongan Shorebase led by Patrick Chan, EJMT chief executive officer; Adi Irman, EJMT commercial manager – bulk; Ardantha Grendyosa, EJMT assistant commercial manager – bulk; and Dirhan Sukarnadi, Eastern Logistics commercial manager.

The purpose of the visit was to showcase the most recent developments at EJMT and discuss the current conditions at the terminal. The visitors also had the opportunity to closely observe EJMT’s current barge operations and discuss the new bulk, project and container operations that will be supported by a new deep-water berth and two Post Panamax Mobile Harbor Cranes to commence from mid-August 2024.

EJMT is strategically located about 60 kilometers from Surabaya, Indonesia's second-largest city and the capital of East Java, and 86 kilometers from Juanda International Airport. The facility is designed to handle general cargo, bulk cargo, heavy project cargo, as well as domestic and international containers, thereby supporting the growth of the hinterland area surrounding the terminal.
