Contecon Guayaquil’s Orange Hearts

Contecon Guayaquil recently launched its Orange Hearts program – an employee-driven corporate social responsibility initiative that aims to develop social projects for the benefit of communities surrounding the port.

With the slogan Orange Hearts, I make a difference, the initiative looks to turn employees into champions of change for social issues and, in turn, become protagonists in the execution of projects that add value to the community.

“Through this program, we encourage the participation of the Contecon family so that they can contribute to society. Orange Hearts is an opportunity for companies and collaborators to identify problems in our area of influence and provide solutions to the community that welcomes us,” said Javier Lancha, Contecon Guayaquil Chief Executive Officer.

The unveiling of the Orange Hearts initiative was attended by Sebastian ‘Zuko’ Carrasco, an Ecuadorian athlete and lecturer who delivered a series of motivational talks through stories of perseverance. Mr. Carrasco also encouraged employees to propose ideas that focus on education, health and infrastructure improvement.

Contecon will choose at least four proposals that it will support until the end of the year.
