CGSA launches vehicle deconsolidation service

Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA), as part of its continuing commitment to innovation and integrated logistics, has expanded its Contecon Plus portfolio with the launch of a new vehicle deconsolidation service. CGSA’s latest offering streamlines container and vehicle handling within the terminal.

This new service is a fully integrated process that eliminates the need to dispatch containers to external yards for unloading. By keeping the entire operation within the terminal, CGSA minimizes the logistical complexity and enhances speed, control and cost efficiency.

With the new service, customers can take advantage of an even more seamless container stripping and vehicle storage inside the terminal at no additional cost for empty container return, and optimized handling flow from vessel discharge to final delivery.

The service begins with the unloading of containers from the vessel directly into the terminal’s yards. Once the cargo is nationalized, containers are moved to a designated deconsolidation area, where vehicles are safely unloaded and containers returned to the empty depot – ensuring a fast and seamless logistics cycle.

With this new service, CGSA strengthens its position as a key logistics facilitator in the region that continuously strives to deliver smarter, safer and more profitable solutions for its customers.
