Contecon Guayaquil donates to Orange Hearts beneficiaries

Turnover of Orange Heart donations to Miguel Febres Cordero School

Contecon Guayaquil S.A. officially delivered donations to four beneficiary institutions as part of the first edition of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program Orange Hearts, I Make the Difference.

The program began this year with the objective of generating a positive impact on society and motivating employees to become agents of change by coming up with solutions to the problems of the community near the port.

With the help of employees, the company identified four organizations with significant needs and provided them with the following aid:

  • Ceramic flooring for classrooms, the Principal’s office and teachers’ room at the Public School of Basic Education Manuela de Santa Cruz y Espejo to improve the learning environment for students
  • Air conditioning units for the Miguel Febres Cordero School to improve the learning environment for the more than 300 students who attend the morning and afternoon sessions
  • Wheelchairs, walkers, mattresses and other implements that could help improve the quality of life of residents of the Hogar de la Paz Nursing Home.
  • Chairs, tables, washing machines and other essential supplies for the daily operation of FUNSIBA, an institution that provides social services to people with severe intellectual disabilities.

Contecon Guayaquil, through the Orange Hearts program, reinforces its commitment to contributing to the development and improved well-being of the community near the port. The company’s CSR efforts reaffirm its conviction to contribute to the social and economic progress of Guayaquil and Ecuador.
