Contecon Guayaquil: 16 years as Ecuador’s gateway to the world

Contecon Guayaquil S.A. (CGSA) is celebrating 16 years of forging a legacy of innovation and contribution to the growth of Ecuador’s foreign trade with its collaborators.

Since commencing operations at the Port of Guayaquil, CGSA has carved a path of leadership in the country’s port industry with investments that make a difference. These investments have allowed CGSA to innovate and provide integrated logistics services with operational efficiency and an undisputable focus on security.

CGSA’s commitment to constant improvement is reflected in its investments. In 2022, the company allocated USD1.5 million to carry out dredging works at the foot of the pier, which increased the depth from 10.5 meters to 13.5 meters. This enabled the terminal to accommodate larger vessels along with increased cargo, contributing to the country’s economic development.

As part of the 16th anniversary celebration, CGSA recognized collaborators who have been with the company for 10 and 15 years. Human talent is the fundamental pillar of CGSA’s management. Each collaborator received a commemorative button in recognition of his commitment, effort and perseverance in his daily work and contributions to the success and continuous improvement of the terminal.
