Contecon Manzanillo's CONBECA program grants scholarships to 62 students

Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) recently marked the eighth year of its CONBECA scholarship program, recognizing 62 children of employees for their academic achievements during a ceremony in November. The students, supported across education levels from primary schools through university, were awarded scholarships totaling more than USD16,000.

The recognition reflects the students’ consistent academic performance and commitment to learning, demonstrated through hours of study, discipline and perseverance. The program highlights the importance of education within CMSA’s workforce, celebrating not only individual achievements but also the role of family support in academic success.

The CONBECA program was created specifically for the children of CMSA’s employees. It acknowledges academic efforts and school discipline, while providing financial support to families of port workers.

By easing the financial demands associated with education, CONBECA helps ensure that students’ academic potential is not limited by economic uncertainty. The program reinforces CMSA’s commitment to foster a culture of excellence and support education continuity for the next generation within its community.
