Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) Health, Safety, Security & Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Francisco Santana met with Secretary of Education and Culture, Adolfo Núñez González, Undersecretary Katia Paola Vázquez Solórzano, and the Ministry of Public Education (Secretaría de Educación Pública or SEP) Colima team to align joint actions that support elementary education in the state.

One of the projects tackled was the delivery of infrastructure and equipment to 13 public schools. These projects include remodeling, construction, maintenance and provision of essential school equipment, funded with proceeds from the 7th edition of Contecon’s Race for a Cause.

Santana also confirmed CMSA’s plan to donate backpacks to the top-performing sixth graders from each school. Recognizing the academic performance of these students, the donation aims to help them prepare for the next stage of their education.

Additionally, CMSA is awarding 40 scholarships to students who demonstrated academic excellence as recognized by the State Children’s Knowledge Olympiad. This program helps remove financial barriers to continued learning for high-performing students in the region.

Through these initiatives, CMSA continues to work alongside education authorities in support of access to education and student development.
