CGSA showcases innovations at 2024 Banana Time convention
Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) reaffirmed its position as Ecuador’s most modern, secure and efficient port terminal during the 2024 Banana Time international convention organized by the Association of Banana Exporters of Ecuador from 23 to 25 October.
Using an innovative and engaging approach, CGSA showcased its commitment to excellence in port operations and customer service. CGSA featured an interactive booth where visitors experienced a virtual reality simulation that allowed them to immerse themselves in the terminal’s cutting-edge security initiatives for cargo protection and safe handling. Attendees were also able to explore CGSA’s modern infrastructure, state-of-the-art technology, and the efficiency that defines its operations.
A highlight of CGSA’s participation in the event was the introduction of Guayaquil Banana Gateway, a new cold storage service designed to preserve the freshness and quality of Ecuadorian bananas. This world-class service ensures bananas reach international markets in optimal condition. Visitors were given insights into the infrastructure, technology and operational processes that make Guayaquil Banana Gateway a standout offering.
The 2024 Banana Time convention also featured a series of talks and panels by industry experts. One of the sessions featured CGSA’s security manager, who delivered a presentation titled “The Importance of a Value Chain Committed to Security” that highlighted the rigorous security measures implemented at the terminal and emphasized the importance of maintaining a secure and efficient supply chain. The presentation not only showcased CGSA’s leadership in security but also underscored the value of collaboration and commitment across the entire value chain.
