BGT supports local community, truckers during Ramadan

Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) marked Ramadan by giving back to the local community, distributing rations to disadvantaged families, nonprofit care institutions, and hardworking truckers at the terminal.

In the spirit of generosity, BGT personnel handed out iftar bags of food and drinks to truckers, offering them a break after long hours on the road. Often working tirelessly to keep goods moving, these individuals play a vital role in the supply chain yet receive little recognition. This gesture was a way to acknowledge their dedication during the blessed season of giving.

Ramadan is a time for reflection and generosity, reminding us to support those in need— truckers working behind the scenes, families facing economic hardship, or institutions caring for the less fortunate. By extending kindness to these groups, BGT hopes to inspire the wider port community to embrace the spirit of giving and compassion.
