BGT spearheads cleanup drive

Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) recently organized a cleaning campaign involving employee volunteers from all departments in line with the company’s commitment to sustainability and environment preservation. 

The initiative focused on tidying up neglected and often overlooked areas around the Port of Umm Qasr and within BGT’s facilities. The collective endeavor not only encouraged employees to take initiative but also served as an opportunity to foster camaraderie among staff and expatriates. 

“It’s inspiring to witness such the energy and enthusiasm within the team as they actively work towards creating a positive impact on our environment,” said Romeo Salvador, BGT chief executive officer.

“We hope to inspire more employees to take action for the environment and join future activities like this,” he added.
